Best Practice Teaming

We are located in different sites and we want one place for collecting common information to improve information flow. We have difficulty finding time to meet; We need a way to work together when we are not able to meet. We have decided to work more collaboratively on a number of key tasks and we are looking for tools to help us be more effective. We are buried in electronic mail, we need to simplify and organize our communication system. We have a number of activities that we have to work very closely on and need input from almost everyone. We need a better method of staying informed and organized.

Detailing the K-forum steward, deputy, members and associates. Also contains K-forum mission, purpose, objectives and agreements on the K-forum use.

Security Roles

Steward - The K-forum leader' purpose is to incite discussion on topical issues and mark documents for display on the home page headline ticker and for publication. The steward also has editor access to all documents in the K-forum apart from votes.

Deputy - Has the same access rights as the steward, but exercises those rights when the steward is unable to.

Member - A member is able to create a discussion thread and carry out the discussion with others, create best practices, create case studies, create votes and take part in the voting process.

Associate - An associate can only respond to documents within a K-forum and take part in the voting process. They can also read all best practices and case studies created in the K-forum. An associate takes on a consultative role, where they have some knowledge that can be inputted into the discussion, best practice or case study.
